I made this flyer... the colours didnt come out in the scan though! theyre lush fluros and bright glowing pastels in real life. If you're in Melbourne and dig Psytrance you should come along :)

She started out as one of two small doodles with fluro gel pens and water colour paints at a friends house one day, when I was thinking about writing a little illustrated childrens style story or comic to try to convey the feelings of confusion and distress involving an identity crisis and dealing with being bullied and challenged.
Over time she then she evolved to this... I worked on her for months and I'm very proud of her. First I sculpted her out of clay on a metal armature then I made a mould of the clay head with silicone and plaster, which I used to slush cast polyurethane resin and then, sanded, cleaned up, painted and everything. I worked so hard I feel like I gave birth to her, and all my creations feel like my children, hehe. She seemed to be everyones favourite at my exhibition. I tried to make her goofy and cute but still kind of strong and wise, sure of herself, like she is truly her true self. She meant to be magical and awe inspiring..

Some pictures of my exhibition, it went well, a fair few people turned up which was lovely, sadly the photos didnt come out very well as the dark lighting made it very difficult to photograph, doesnt really do the work justice but ah well, I'll take better photos of everything soon.

Yesterday I did make-up for a film set in a hospital, I had to give an actor serious burns on their chest, blood, blisters, swelling, moist gooey festering sores, cooked flesh and all those delightful things. My friend took decent digital camera photos of my make-up which I'll post when I get copies of.We filmed in an abandoned hospital which was super awesome, here are some dodgy phone photos...

Room 22, I was told that someone had been stabbed to death in this room, it was in the middle of the day but there was so electricity in this room so it was quite spooky, and when I peeked inside a weird noise came from the room and my friend and I screamed and run away.

This is my Stargazer sculpture,is going to be exhibited in the Rod Rado art competition , it is a lifesize head made from resin plastics, sculptured by hand from clay, moulded in silicone and plaster then cast in easy flow 120 hollow splash casting medium, painted with acrylic piants and has a magical healing crystal jewel on her head that I made by casting half an egg with a rubber mould, filling with clear resin and pink pigment, shaped with a electric dremel tool to fit to the curve of the forehead,polished,sanded and backed with 3 different kinds of pink/purple/red hologram glitter

The mayans have been a big artistic influence lately for me..

An Australian company that makes beautiful colourful resin home wares and jewellery. i got inspired when going into Solid Solutions the other day and had a look in their display case when shopping for sculpture supplies for art school. I bought a book on how to make resin jewellery, hopefully i can adapt it to make other
resin goodies I have been designing.
